Wendy Shay to Sue producer of Netflix Movie “Slay”

Ghanaian female recording artist, Wendy Shay has threatened to sue the producer of the South African movie “Slay”.

The movie is currently available for streaming on Netflix.


According to the songstress, the movie producer featured her popular song “All For You” without her consent and that of her management.

In her Instagram post sighted by African Entertainment, Wendy Shay shared a short video of the movie to her 2.3 million followers, indicating that the producers failed to seek approval from her management.

She wrote “So, I watched this movie last night on Netflix, and my song ” All for You” was featured without my consent or that of my management. Producers of the movie it is a crime to use someone’s intellectual property without her consent. Kindly do the needful or I will see y’all in court”.

Slay is a South African movie that features two Ghanaian actors, Kalybos and Bismark the Joke, and other top actors from across Africa including Ramsey Nouah and Williams Uchemba.

The movie is about a group of tech-savvy individuals who tried to juggle intimate first encounters, first impressions, and romantic opportunities.

Bismark The Joke plays the role of a gateman living and working in South Africa with a permit. Kalybos, on the other hand, is a Ghanaian who has moved to South Africa with the hopes of landing a job so he can survive.
